Brad's 2024 Score Prediction Game-Week 8

What a game that was! It wasn’t perfect, and honestly pretty sloppy defense in that first half. But lads bagged a goal in each half and the defense weathered the storm to keep the Crisp and Kelp scoreless at The Champ.

There were a bunch of players who scored 4 points based on their prediction, just a small amount of 5 point scores, and even a couple in the podcast team.

Taylor maintains her top-of-table position, but Andy and Kayvon are getting close, just 3 points behind. Michael L only a few points back with 21.

and based on the WLD picks, the Orange County Faithful, uh, kept the faith with no one predicting a loss, only wins and draws. Historically, it feels like OC draws a lot of games, but maybe that’s just recency bias. I’m too lazy to look up the stat, but it feels special when a fanbase believes a team struggling with as many injuries as Orange County has right now, watching this small sample of fans (and granted, possibly some of the least-rose-colored-glasses-fans available- not in a negative way, just realistic) really get behind the team at least emotionally is a great feeling as someone who has been with the team through some tough times.

Did you miss this week’s podcast? We had a great conversation with Ethan Zubak- possibly the best guest we’ve ever had. What a great dude. Looking forward to talking to him again. Check out the episode here.
